Dr. Arizmendi will be presenting at the National Association for Bilingual Education this week in Atlanta! ✨

This work, while playing a significant role in the communities of those we serve, is not often recognized, familiar, or valued by practitioners and researchers who do not engage with these practices themselves. In fact, researchers have minimized these practices or have fully rejected that young children are capable of said practices (to be discussed). The goal of this work is to elevate and recognize the cultural-linguistic assets that build bridges in and around our communities and for practitioners to learn how these practices can be integrated daily for instructional utility in bilingual language development 🪄🧠
