MEET DR. OGLIVIE!

Dr. Trianna Oglivie is a Research Scientist and Community Partnerships and Lab Operations Lead.

 

Trianna Oglivie is a Research Scientist and the Community Partnerships & Lab Operations Lead for the BABEL Lab in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at the University of Arizona. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from Agnes Scott College, and both an M.S. and Ph.D. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona.

Dr. Oglivie is a licensed and certified bilingual speech-language pathologist with over ten years of clinical experience. Her clinical background spans a wide range of settings, including a community health center serving uninsured and underinsured families, outpatient hospital services, public schools, and private practice.

​

Dr. Oglivie’s research interests include community-based participatory approaches that promote justice and equity within education and healthcare, as well as improving treatment efficacy for pediatric speech and language disorders. For her Ph.D. dissertation, she examined the clinical outcomes associated with implementing an alternative service-delivery model for preschool children with speech sound disorders and developmental language disorder. In both her research and clinical work, Dr. Oglivie is committed to advancing equitable, inclusive, and culturally responsive practices. She is thrilled to be part of the important and exciting work being done in the BABEL Lab!
