Dr. Arizmendi will be presenting at the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association Convention this week in Seattle! ✨

This work, while playing a significant role in the communities of those we serve, is not often recognized, familiar, or valued by practitioners and researchers who do not engage with these practices themselves. In fact, researchers have minimized these practices or have fully rejected that young children are capable of said practices (to be discussed). The goal of this work is to elevate and recognize the cultural-linguistic assets that build bridges in and around our communities and for practitioners to learn how these practices can have clinical utility 🪄🧠
