The BABEL Lab is SO proud of our amazing undergraduate researcher, Ashley Mentor, as she presented the important preliminary findings of her Honors Thesis research “Barriers and Facilitators to Diversity in Speech-Language Pathology” today at the Arizona Speech, Language, Hearing Association Convention! 🥳🗣️
We are so appreciative of many of the SLP students and professionals who participated and took the time out of their busy days to share their story with us and make their voices and experiences heard. There will be no excuses from programs and members of ASHA that they ‘didn’t know’ once this work is complete. We look forward to continue collecting data for this project and to share more of the findings in the coming months. 🗣️
Way to go, Ashley! We are looking forward to continuing to celebrate you in this season - You are a true rockstar with such a bright future! 🤩🫶🏽
