Our amazing BABEL Lab research assistants have spent their day teaching high school students about careers in the field of speech-language pathology and audiology! 🗣️ The Pathway for Underrepresented Education, Networking, Training, and Empowerment (PUENTE) for Diversity in speech-language pathology and audiology initiative has reached over 100 students in Tucson, Arizona since being funded by the University of Arizona at the beginning of the school year. This is the work that moves a field/discipline forward, representation in research and practice that mirrors the range of communities that we serve as practitioners. As undergraduates, the BABEL Lab team recognizes the importance of lifting up the next generation! The future really can be bright 🤩✨
