Our communities can’t wait for research to catch up. Too often, what works stays stuck in journals and never reaches the classrooms, clinics, and homes where it could help. That gap can last years (even decades). Our students and communities feel it. 🗣️

That’s why our mission in the BABEL Lab is to move knowledge through every step: research into practice, practice into policy, policy into stronger communities.

Dr. Arizmendi has been actively involved in training and learning more how to bridge these gaps with incredible colleagues across the field of education through the Education Scholars Training Program in the Scholars Strategy Network! This summer, she had the opportunity to attend the SSN National Convening and connected with likeminded scholars and policy actors in Washington D.C. We are excited to see what the next half of the training program brings forth and for our future work both in and outside the lab ✊🏽🤓
