To an amazing first CEC!

To an amazing first CEC! ✨

Dr. Arsenault and I got to start the conference off with unpacking how we can better support our teachers and families with bilingually developing students that experience mathematics difficulties. From our time together at UT Austin to CEC now as assistant professors, so many ideas to launch! Stay tuned for forthcoming research and collaborations with @tessaarsenault.phd 🤩

It was exciting to see so many practitioners eager to learn how they can support the transformation of special education for bilingual students! Collaborating with Dr. Fernandez Morgado for this presentation was a real treat 🪅

The highlight was the PRIME team reunion led by the incredible @sarahpowellphd 🫶🏽 It was inspiring to see how so many amazing things can stem from the mentorship and friendship of one rockstar of a human - from multiple upcoming dissertation defenses, multiple new faculty positions, awards, promotions, impactful research programs, new research directions, and collaborations - the list goes on and on! 💓 When time seems to be flying by, it was refreshing to slow down and celebrate all of the amazing things this team is doing, in community! Go PRIME! 🙌🏽

Thanks to all who came by our presentations and connected with us. Leaving CEC refreshed and energized to get new ideas off the ground and into the classroom! 🍎 👩🏽‍🏫
