Every day we are connecting with many of you out in the community and we are finding ourselves sharing a similar feeling. We keep looking around for leaders to step in and guide us through these tough times. But more and more, it’s clear: we have to be that for each other.
After Hours is a virtual community space to process, organize, and understand what’s happening, en comunidad. After Hours is for all, those of you who are educators, clinicians, researchers, students, and family and community members to check in, ask questions, share what’s happening on the ground, think together, or just to listen in.
A lot of what we’re dealing with right now doesn’t fit neatly into meetings, classrooms, clinical sessions, or systems meant to uphold the status quo. It shows up after work. Late at night. In group texts. In the moments when people are trying to make sense of what they’re seeing and feeling.
Some of us are teaching. Some of us are seeing clients.
Some of us are students. Some of us are holding families, classrooms, or whole communities together.
Most of us are doing more than one of those things at once. We are stronger, juntxs.
Screenshot to scan QR code or sign up with link in bio to receive Zoom link to join community meetings starting on Monday 2/23 at 4PM(PT)/ 5PM(MST/AZ)/ 6PM (CT)/ 7PM(ET).
We will be having our first meeting to openly share our motivations for this in our capacity as citizens outside of the ‘tower’ and will also gather community preferences, topics, and meeting time preferences. Thanks to those of you that signed up for the 2/2 date — we look forward to connecting with you! 🫶🏽
En comunidad, todo se puede.
