"Common Myths about Bilingualism" by PUENTE

We made it through another week and we spent some of it 👊🏽 busting these myths 👊🏽above with our PUENTE high school seniors!

NONE of these common myths are true. Swipe to learn how prevalent these are for our student participants on the south side of Tucson, a large Latino/a/e/x community. These experiences and beliefs have profound implications on home language retention and maintenance, along with community relationships with their language(s). 🗣️

Now we have some our first cohort of PUENTE students that will be out in our community busting and pushing back on these myths when they come up!
